Schola Rosa Curriculum

Dear Schola Rosa families,

Merry Christmas and Blessed Epiphany! We are excited to announce a new opportunity for the Schola Rosa community: chess club for 1st-6th graders!

Think of this as a mini-course on chess; it is a six-week program, meeting 1 hour each week, that incorporates strategy concepts, games, exercises, and weekly homework, as well as free opportunities for tournaments. This workshop is good for players in grades 1-6.

Mr. Bloom, the instructor, is not an Oxrose Teacher; however, he has been interviewed to ensure that he understands Oxrose ethical and religious requirements and is committed to respecting them. The club meeting time is for Schola Rosa students only. A course minimum of five students is required for the club to proceed.
