Chess Workshops

Course Description: A wonderful opportunity to learn the game of chess; think of this as a mini-course on chess. It is a six-week program, meeting 1 hour each week, that incorporates strategy concepts, games, exercises, and weekly homework, as well as free opportunities for tournaments.

If there is sufficient interest, there will be additional opportunities for more advanced workshops to follow.

We are very pleased to continue our partnership with Steven Bloom, an experienced player and deeply engaging instructor. Though Mr. Bloom is not an Oxrose Teacher, he understands Oxrose's ethical and religious identity and is committed to respecting it.

This course is exclusively for Oxrose and Schola Rosa students. A course minimum of eight students is required for the workshop to proceed.
