The Traditio Nostra Self-Paced Drawing in Color Subscription Kit includes digital access to the self-paced course Studio Art 3: Drawing in Color and the Drawing 3 Kit required for the course.
Traditio Nostra Self-Paced Courses are accessed through our learning management system. The students are guided by clear weekly schedules, instructional videos, and automated assessments. Courses are written to be completed in one academic year, but students set their own pace. No grading is provided, but answer keys are available for most courses. Access is for one calendar year.
Course Description: Continuing with the sequence of drawing skills from Drawing I and II, this course prepares the art student for the move into painting through the introduction of color technique and theory.
Drawing III Skills: Students experiment with colored pencils, pen and ink, watercolor pencils, and pastels. Students learn to apply color theory within the purview of drawing techniques previously learned. There are 6 projects, each of which requiring mastery demonstration of 5 skills from the focus listed above.
